Good Goats
When I asked my younger siblings what I should put on their "goat page" they told me to put "good goats"
and that would be all it would need.
The meat goat part of the farm is primarily a way to give responsibility and work experience to the youngest Medunas. Currently Gabe is heading up the goat production. Every morning he is out before school to feed the goats and during kidding season he even takes night shifts to check on the expectant mother goats and give birthing assistance when needed.
The goats reside on our home place and rotate from the open aired sheds and pasture in the summer and fall to the big red barn in the winter months. Gabe raises a primarily meat goat herd with some dairy breeds mixed in for mothering traits and hardiness.
Goats are for sale on a seasonal basis and the number available depends on the supply at the time. If interested in purchasing a goat for cleaning up the lawn, 4-H, a goat BBQ, or just to have a cute pet, call Bill at (402) 405-2475 to see what is available!
